"Will I Go Home Today?" is a new series that profiles very special adoptable animals who are looking for their families. This painting is by Nancy Daleo, it is 5x7, Acrylic, and comes with a matte and acid-free foam core.
She is an 8 year old chihuahua. Don't let her age fool you though, she does not consider herself "old" and loves to play with the other little dogs in her foster home and will even put their large pit bull in her place!! Little Genevieve has not experienced the finer things in life. She is so excited to have a little soft bed or blanket to curl up on or to share a tasty little tidbit with you. She was rescued from a high kill shelter. She had been brought in as a stray. You can tell she has probably lived most of her life outside as she was extremely dirty and had some fly strike on her ears. Genevieve holds a very special place in her fosters heart because she looks and acts just like one of her own dogs and she was rescued from a very similar situation as Genevieve. Genevieve is currently being fostered with other dogs and cats and with older children and she is wonderful with everyone. She does not have the typical "chi 'tude" and just adores any amount of attention she can get from family or stranger. We will not be placing Genevieve in a home with children under 10 years old because she is just so tiny at only 4 pounds and on top of that she is a little older and has little fragile legs. Genevieve is crate trained but not housebroken. We are working on it and she is making progress everyday. In her pics she looks as though she has some visual impairment. She does NOT, it is just the camera that made her eyes look like that. Genevieve is a sweet little girl that deserves to be treated for the rest of her life like a little princess. She would be a great purse dog but she likes to go for walks too. She is definitely a social butterfly. Genevieve is about 4 pounds now but is a little on the thin side and should be closer to 5 pounds. Only apply to adopt our little Genevieve if she will be the light of your life because she deserves nothing less!!
